I want to thank my family, friends, and dedicated volunteers for supporting me during this election. They have been with me every step of the way with voter outreach, door-knocking, and events. I am also appreciative of the hundreds of conversations with voters on their front porches where I listened to their thoughts and concerns with their local government. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my story, experience, and positive vision for the Treasurer’s Office.

I am the mother of three children and a proud spouse of a retired United States Marine. For the past 23 years, my family has been blessed to live all over the United States and overseas before making Stafford our home. Through these experiences, it taught me that it was my responsibility to help and serve others.

Several years ago, I began working in the Stafford Treasurer’s Office where I am currently the Chief Deputy Treasurer, Officer of Operations. Previously, I was a Delinquent Revenue Collections Agent, assisting in the collection of an excess of $2.4 million in delinquent taxes and fees that otherwise would have gone uncollected with a 95% collection rate.

Through Radford University Government and Nonprofit Assistance Center, I completed an accounting certificate and satisfied the Treasurer Association of Virginia’s course requirements for a Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer certification. Most recently, I completed the Virginia Government Finance Officers’ Association (VGFOA) certification program.

My decision to run for Treasurer was formed by my grassroots-level experience and passion for speaking with community members. I am proud to have the endorsement and complete trust of Stafford Treasurer Laura Rudy to lead the Treasurer’s Office. Laura has served our county for nearly 16 years and built a legacy that I will dutifully carry forward.

I would be honored to have your support and be the Republican nominee for Treasurer. Again, I thank everyone that has supported my campaign and mission to serve Stafford County. Tomorrow, please vote at your regular polling precinct between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. To check your polling place, visit vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.

From the day that I announced my candidacy for Treasurer, I made a promise to myself that I would work hard to earn the support of the community and leave nothing on the table. With four days left before the election, I can say that I did not break that promise. I, with the help of some amazing individuals, have knocked on thousands of doors and have had countless conversations. Over the last six months I have walked hundreds of miles and have met many people from different walks of life. Through these many interactions, the one thing that stands out is that the community wants to support a candidate who is honest and forthright. I don’t believe in misleading the community by posting out of context “gotcha” videos or by speaking disparagingly of another person. I feel that elected officials should serve the community ethically and honestly. If I am fortunate enough to earn your vote on June 20th, I promise to always serve Stafford County with honor and integrity. See MoreSee Less

Campaigning casualties are expected, but today’s loss was hard. Since January I have blown out 2 of my favorite pairs of shoes from door knocking. RIP my friends, you will be missed!
